TOMORROW AT 3 PM AT ST. MARY’S EPISCOPAL CHURCH, THE FESTIVAL SINGERS PRESENT A GRAND FINALE OF GREATEST HITS.

On this episode of The KC Arts Beat Report, Patrick Neas sits down with William Baker to explore the final concert of the William Baker Festival Singers’ 28th season — a radiant “greatest hits” program. From the mystic clarity of Hildegard von Bingen and the intimacy of early American hymnody to the rhythmic fire of composer‑in‑residence Sean Sweeden, the afternoon traces a wide arc of choral expression. The program also features Bruckner’s Virga Jesse, Barber’s Agnus Dei, and a special appearance by the Lawrence Civic Choir conducted by Steve Eubank, who will offer their own set before joining the Festival Singers for three combined works.
